Who we are

CAIT RYAN (she/her)
co-founder + teacher

As a movement teacher, Cait has cultivated a practice of learning from / connecting with the spaces in between; creating room to play in rhythm, exploring form without limit and space beyond time. Her classes lean into curiosity and create space for strength and ease to co-exist. She is informed by a variety of teachers and movement modalities. Cait believes that movement in community is powerful; it nourishes the heart, reminds you of your resilience, and plants seeds for transformation. Her desire is to inspire folks to connect to their own senses as they move through their practice, with guidance to be where their body is. Outside the studio Cait enjoys time with family, her personal practice, and good food + wine.

SOFIA FAGA (she/her)
co-founder + teacher

Sofia is inspired by helping people fall in love with movement and rediscover their strength. Beginning in competitive sports, she developed a passion for movement early on. Through her own struggles with injury and recovery she found Pilates. In her work Sofia creates a collaborative experience to meet each client where they are, using a progressive approach to Pilates and movement therapy. She has seen and experienced just how much movement can heal the body and mind. No matter your level you’ll be challenged and have fun! When she’s not doing Pilates Sofia loves hiking with Lulu (her dog) and her partner Andrew, and spending time on the water floating, swimming, surfing or paddling.

HALLIDAY REYNOLDS (she/her)
teacher

Halliday began her own Yoga practice in 2005 and, after just a few classes, knew that she wanted to share this movement with others and become a teacher. Over the past 15 years she has taught in many spaces including those in Toronto, Paris, and Prince Edward County. Halliday loves to meet students where they are and create challenging, uplifting and supportive sequences; she strives to bring her fullest self into each and every class. She enjoys blending different styles of Yoga together, along with a healthy dose of Pilates, and she is honoured by her students' willingness to try new things. Her favourite part about teaching is how every class is different, and every person present brings something of themselves to the practice.

CAROLYN BEDFORD (she/her)
teacher

Carolyn discovered her love of movement in her first Jazzercize class!  That was in her early 20’s. From then on, Carolyn was sold! She started teaching aerobics classes at a local gym, which kicked-off a decades long exploration of health and fitness. After obtaining her Physical Education/Recreation Therapy degree at Mount Royal University, Carolyn made a career of Personal Training, teaching fitness classes and mentoring others who wish to do the same. In 2008, her body told her it was time for a change. That is when she took her yoga teacher training.  Yoga provided Carolyn with a renewed joy in movement and how it relates to health. She left her yoga community in Calgary in 2021 and is excited to have the opportunity to share her passion at the studio pec.

KAYLYN GELATA (she/her)
teacher

Kaylyn has been a movement instructor since 2017. She found her own movement practice to be an incredibly helpful tool for navigating difficult seasons of life, cultivating confidence and for maintaining her own mental health. This is why she is passionate about sharing movement from a place of connectedness, awareness and inner strength, by drawing from the teachings of yoga, principles of Pilates and intuitive movements. Kaylyn's teaching will inspire you to be curious, to play and to confidently trust yourself and she believes that your movement practices should make you feel good and want to return to again and again. Using functional movement as her guide, alongside thoughtfully accompanied music, Kaylyn's classes aim to leave you feeling connected, grounded and balanced - mind, body and heart. When not teaching or taking classes, Kaylyn is spending time in nature with her puppy, (hiking, paddleboarding and kayaking), creating art (with clay, poetry and writing), and enjoying good food, wine and games with friends.
